Wow wow wow!!!! We ordered chicken tiki masala and lamb roganjosh and oh my, just perfection!!! I will come here all the time. The garlic naan was fresh and delicious, can't wait to bring my friends and family. My husband said I had no idea I would love Indian food this much. Serving size was perfect and we had left overs to take home for a second meal. Thank you for serving a perfect meal!!!

The food here is very good, depending on what you are ordering. The samosas very okay, but the Paneer Tikka Masala, was amazing. So was the Nan. However, I felt that the place was tad bit expensive, especially for the portions, the food was served in. Verdict: Pricey, but good.

Wrist Indian food I ever had... Chicken in chili chicken was not properly cooked. Very bad taste of curries...navaratan Korma Chicken buryani was worst I ever had...again chicken was not cooked well...it seems it was raw. Waiter was very rude. Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

  • Asit S.

The biriyani was excellent. Actually, everything was well prepared. Except for the raita. The raita was way to sour. This is pricy and it takes the food a while to arrive. Good if you have time and money.

I came here with some friends, food have so many flavors and taste is excellent. With the high prices compare to the poor service and small food quantity, I only give 3 stars

The food here is awesome. Service is ... Acceptable. Did I mention the food here is awesome? Pricey but worth it. Yet to be disappointed.

No onion bhaji?? Which Indian restaurant doesn't have these??? Samosas were hard but ok. As for the korma... Well that's another thing... I have been eating kormas for years ( in fact I check out restaurants by ordering it!!) it tasted exactly like a tikka masala sauce with tomatoes and NO sign of cream or almonds as on the menu. Korma is NOT tomato based completely!!!! I asked if this really was one and he assured me it was!!!! I will never visit there again.

This is really good. Surprisingly good. Order the vindaloo. Have tried a lot of the menu and haven't had anything bad yet. Is a little pricy, but you are on key Biscayne so that is to be expected. Service was friendly and fast.

Ayesha is a tasty little Indian spot I suggest trying when you're on Key Biscayne. I can't say the Indian food restaurant scene is the greatest in the greater Miami area but Ayesha brings the flavors. The naans are fresh and fluffy and the salans bring the heat. The chicken tikka masala and garlic chicken were my favorites. There was something magical about eating Indian food outside at night on the island. A little pricy but that's to be expected on Key Biscayne.

First visit(last one at that). Service, Not Great. The man at the front (who seems to be in "charge") was our server. Horrible: snooty attitude, could not take our order or answer a question without walking away to grab a dish or talk to other people. Leaving my husband or me w/sentence or qstn mid air. The guy refilling waters was more attentive & on point. Food: was Average (definitely Not worth the drive or time)...... Sorry, I have Indian Food on the regular & this just did not impress.

I've been on a quest to try more restaurants off the beach. Last week one of my best gf and I took a drive to Key Biscayne for a change. Ayesha was such a pleasant surprise. We arrived early in the evening and were immediately greeted warmly. The restaurant is somewhat small while very comfortable. There was a mellow, relaxed vibe which was exactly what were in search of. Gail started with Spinach Samosas and Garlic Naan. She loved the samosas and also enjoyed the naan though she said it was a bit too buttery. She was hoping to order Spinach Masala which isn't on the menu. Our server was more than happy to have the kitchen prepare her dish. Nice. I ordered Eggplant Bharta. Our meals arrived quickly and were delicious. Fresh and really flavorful. We ate way past the point of full because everything was fantastic! When I asked for boxes to wrap our extras, I was shocked and impressed that we were given fresh rice to bring home along with our leftover food! Great food and excellent service. I'll be sure to return to Ayesha with Mikie and Baby Rock Star!

Excellent Indian Food. Been here many times and never disappoints. The traditional tikka masala is always good but you should adventure and try outside the box. We had an eggplant veggie dish entree. It was the best yet I've had here. Too bad the service wasn't that great but the food makes up for it. The decor is nothing special compared to how good the food is actually. But you are in Key Biscayne.... Will keep coming when in the mood for Indian food

Service is great! They are very nice and fast with ur orders! I love to eat fresh from the kitchen dishes that's why we keep coming back here. Only 4 stars because they don't have the samosas that we tried from there other branch which me and my husband love so much! Maybe next time we go back they will have it!

Friday March 27 2015 My fiancé saw this place in a magazine (don't know which one) and we decided to try it. Exactly what the reviews say is exactly how it is. The food is delicious, the staff is extremely friendly, and the food takes forever to come out!! As an appetizer we had vegetable samosas, which the staff messed up a few times but they apologized and corrected the issue quickly. For dinner, I had the chicken korma and my lady had the chicken tikka masala. Both were very good The place is very small so i strongly recommend that you make reservations before you decide to drive out to the Key and potentially wait a while for a table. We got there at 8pm and from all the waiting for our food and then finally getting our food and practically throwing the check at the waiter to finally pay and leave, we left at 10pm. Also, i suggest you check to see if there are any events going on down in the tennis courts because the traffic to leave was crazy. At 10pm at night, it took 40 minutes to get out of the key Food = 10 out of 10 Staff = 10 out of 10 Kitchen speed = 5 of out 10

This was simply one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. It's a small, cute, colorful place with very nice staff. Our group ordered chicken korma, eggplant bharta, and lamb vindaloo, plus raita, tamarind chutney, garlic naan, and onion kulcha. While it was a little bit of a wait for our food, what eventually came out was fresh, hot, and simply wonderful! Not that I'm likely to be back in the area anytime soon, but if I were, I'd be back!

Restaurants are about experience and great taste, ayesha is right on! Very friendly staff , place is very clean, loved the food. We were surprised with a complimentary delicious mango desert. Recommend eating outside mid week, very peaceful. 100 points for this place. Definitely coming back again!!!!

  • Tripp P.

It's some of the best Indian food I've had. Best Indian in Miami hands down. I am pretty boring and consistently get the chicken tikka masala, but I've had most of their lamb dishes and all of their vegetarian dishes and it was awesome. The inside isn't posh, but I don't think good Indian food really needs an amazing setting. My only wish is that they had a buffet. Because I would go HAM on that. Totally recommend this place!

  • Ranjitha S.

This is the best Indian restaurant you find in Miami! My husband took me for our anniversary dinner and it was just perfect we ordered vegetable samosas . It was hot n crunchy just the way we expected and paneer tikka masala with garlic naan was extremely delicious. They were generous to offer us a free desert called mango moose ,we were too full and had no room for desert . We just had a spoon of it n couldn't stop eating until the bowl was empty . We highly recommend this place .

Total ripoff..average food and slow service...2 curries that too in afternoon with minimal crowd took them 2 hours to serve. Never returning back

We know a bit about Indian cuisine, having lived in Middle East and been many times to India , and we can comfortable conclude this restaurant is indeed very impressive. Easy parking , moderate in seize, white table cloths, and great service. Our waiter from Bombay knew as much about the dishes as the owner who watched over all details. As appetizer we took vegetable semosas and stir fried greens ( superb!!). Eggplant barta and channa masala veggies as main dish were also fantastic. You can order spicy as you like. Great also for vegans or vegetarians. Must go for lovers of Indian food!!

  • Angel Q.

My wife and I ordered the chicken tikka masala and the lamb rogan josh with indian spices(hot). Excellent flavor. Also ordered the garlic naan. The experience was very pleasant. We both agreed to revisit anytime we're in the area.

Worst food .. The food they brought had excessive red chilly and biryani was more of a chicken fried rice..

We have been visiting Ayesha for years and LOVE it!!! Sean always takes care of us and provides great service. We typically have the same thing as it is amazing! The vegetable samosas, Kashmiri naan, chicken korma or masala, and the mango mousse!!!! This is one of our favorite places. The price is very reasonable! We give this place two thumbs up!!!

  • Maxine V.

Wow! So good! I had the Chicken Chili Masala, Aloo Gobi, and okra (can't remember the name of it) with naan. The okra and chicken masala were so good. I was really surprised by all of the flavor. The aloo gobi wasn't all that great; it wasn't bad but I would try something else next time. The place is a bit pricey but it is worth it.

  • Anna O.

Sad that the one authentic Indian restaurant in Miami has the WORST service I've ever experienced. Besides the servers ignoring the request to fill the glass of water over five times; I had two miscellaneous items fall from the ceiling while waiting the hour and 15 minutes for the food to come to the table. Don't waste your time, or better yet, don't waste theirs ( as I feel like I did)

I decided to skip the typical NYE fare and instead, come to dinner at Ayesha and watch the fireworks from Key Biscayne. I am glad I did. I have heard that Ayesha is currently the highest-rated Indian restaurant in Miami. An Indian friend told me this, and he said the food was quite authentic. The place is located on the second floor of a strip mall, and it's quite small and cozy. To start out, we got complimentary papadum with chopped onion dip. I got the Mango Lassi and cheese Naan. The Naan was packed with cheese that was coming out of the edges, was hot, and delicious. I loved it! The Mango Lassi was also thick and delicious. Before I knew it, it was gone. For my main course, I got chicken tikka, which was delicious and sizzling. The chicken was very tender and flavorful. Ayesha is not particularly cheap, so bear that in mind. The quality makes it worth it though. The service is efficient, and there is an outdoor seating area if you prefer to sit outdoors, as the place can have a strong odor of food and seasonings.

Really great food & excellent service! I live in Brickell and the drive was actually very nice on the way there and back so getting there isn't as bad as one might think. The view at the causeway/bridge is gorgeous. Back to the restaurant, it's tucked way back in the shopping plaza ground level, it's small inside but very well kept. The menu is extensive, divided up into the kind of food you want, proteins, styles & signature dishes. As with all Indian food it's a bit pricey but truly the cuisine is priced well considering how yummy it is. Overall I absolutely recommend it and I absolutely look forward to going back... Sooner rather than later!

They have not registered on Yelp. They are closed on Mondays. Avoid Biryani. It had no salt, was not basmati rice. Taste was good with lot of flavors but did not feel like birani at all. Malai kofta was really good though. Worth trying.

  • Kevin C.

This is probably the best Indian food I've had in Miami. Once again that is not saying much. Food is good with a mix of all your favorite dishes such as the butter chicken. The naan is spot on as well. The downside. The portions are very small and the prices range from $12-19. That seems to be typical for Indian food in Miami but oh well :/ The service was mediocre but I did like the decor. They have tables inside and outside, and despite being in a strip mall, it somehow still seemed classy. I'd come back again, but the price makes me stay away unless I'm really craving Indian.

Had the shrimp curry lunch special.. came with salad (refreshing), rice, daal (or some kind of dish with garbanzo beans in it- delicious)..the curry shrimp (really spicy and phenomenal flavor), and some potato dish (also extremely flavorful). The naan was the bomb. I found this place thanks to the Miami New Times Best of Miami 2013 (Best Indian Restaurant).. They were spot on. This was the best Indian food I've had in Miami, and comparable, if not better, than the places I've tried in NYC. The plate was $17.99 + tip.. but well worth it.

We are big Indian food fans, especially after being accustomed to West coast California tandoori dining. Was very impressed thought Bombay day day was the best in the Grove. Was surprised that Bombay has its match..., these guys are tied for best Indian in Miami

  • Christie D.

The food is better at the Key Bicayne location than the one in Miami, although they are not consistent. No matter how mild we request the food, it always comes too spicy. Friendly service. Good food.

Amazing dinner and excellent service! We are visiting from Atlanta and staying at the ritz. An employee there referred us here and it was not a disappointment! The chicken tiki masala was some of the best we've ever had! The Naan bread was also amazing! Great choice in key biscayne!! I'd eat here once per week if I was local!

  • Karl G.

The food was great - I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants and this one hits the note with spice level and flavor profiles. What detracted from a full 5 stars was their inability to refill water or get checks in a timely manner. It wasn't just my table that was having this issue. I'll be back for sure - next time I'll just bring my own dasani bottle ;)

  • Leo C.

It is very hard to find good Indian food in Miami, so far this has been the best place I have found. The service could have been a little better and they could have closed the front door because it became hot inside the restaurant, but the food was so good that I still had to give it a 5.

    (5)
  • Isabelle C.

Run don't walk to Ayesha. Shrimp curry, lamb roganjosh, eggplant dish (I forgot the name), sautéed green beans = favorites. This place is a iwn win win. Enjoy!!

  • Deb R.

Best Indian food I've ever had. First time a restaurant in Miami could make my food spicy enough. Their Indian Spicy was much spicier than Bombay Dubar in the Grove. I ate the left overs for three meals in a row, and I never eat left overs. Service was good. -Chicken Vindaloo -spicy and awesome, nice cuts of meat -Cheese Naan-YUMMMM -Vegetable Somosa- very good, came with a sweet sauce rather than spicy, but very good -Chicken Biryani-awesome! -Mango dessert- fantastic

  • David M.

Great Indian food! We went for lunch and they have great platters which aren't cheap ($17 or so) but are excellent with 3 dishes plus rice, naan bread, and salad. Also includes a great desert. Staff was very nice and provide great service. We got the lamb and chicken platters and they were both excellent, maybe the chicken was a tad better. Will go again soon.

  • Ming W.

In my experience, this is the best Indian restaurant in/around Miami (with Bombay Darbar in the Grove as a close second). The food and drink here is consistently excellent and the service is friendly although a little sluggish at times. My default entree is the lamb korma, but I have enjoyed the chicken tikka as well, which was also good. The eggplant is nice for vegetarians and the naan is perfect every time (try the garlic naan or aloo naan). For dessert, I highly recommend the mango mousse, which is more of a thick consistency than what you would ordinarily imagine for a mousse but filled with delicious concentrated mango flavor. Their lunch specials are an excellent way to try out sn entree item, vegetable item, and dessert all for one reasonable price.

having lived in London and NYC, where good Indian food is abundant, I am a bit picky. I tried Ayesha recently. The service is very good, very nice people. It is a little pricey, or I would have sampled more dishes, but what I had was good. Not over the top fantastic, but quite good. One of my favorite things about Indian food is the condiments, and the onion chutney was really good, so was the green sauce, never sure what it is. The brown sweet sauce was missing. Good naan bread. I am still on the perfect Indian food quest in Miami though. My next try will be Darbar in Coconut Grove. I remember the day when getting an Indian in both London and NY meant spending very little money and getting a ton of food. Seems those days are over, or at least in Miami.

The other Indian restaurants have got some real competition now. This place has some good food. The restaurant is big and open not like others that are crowded and dark. Keep up the great work Ayesha, we'll be back.

Great Indian Cuisine In Key biscayne. Great Flavors of india, love the chicken tikka for lunch with some cheese Naan. The spicy chicken lettuce wraps are excellent.

Probably a VERY close second to Bombay Darbar for "Best Indian food in Miami." The negatives are having to drive out to Key Biscayne and paying a little more because of the location but the food is GREAT and the staff are VERY nice. I've never had a bad experience here....

  • Jose T.

Loved it. Service was great, food was delicious. Ambiance was casual, not too noisy. We could have a conversation without being interrupted by either the music or loud people around us. Definitely recommend and most definitely going back.

Me and my parents made a reservation the day before showing up at the restaurant. When we got there at our reservation time, the restaurant was completely packed and smoky from something that had obviously burned in the oven. The waiters looked panicked as they had a rather large party taking up the majority of the restaurant. They did not honor our reservation and we ended up having to go all the way back to Miami Beach for dinner. If you're going to go make sure you call twice and bother them about remembering their reservations.

First time having Indian food, and this was a GREAT EXPERIENCE. we started with cheese naan...and man was it good. Almost ordered a second serving! The chips and peppers(?) the put out to start were good too, we even put some of the peppers in the naan. I had the Lamb Rogan Josh over some rice. AWESOME. the wife had the chicken tikka masala. A completely different blend of spices, I tried it and it was a alright, not my cup of tea but she loved it. We ended with the mango dessert. WOW. so refreshing and natural tasting.. Overall a delicious dinner. We went on a Thursday night, so there were about 3 other tables only, the servers were prompt and on top of filling our water cups....need that to counter the spice! Look froward to going back.

Really great vegetarian options - especially like eggplant curry, staff are nice people, it's the only Indian restaurant in key biscayne and it is also one of the best I've seen overall too! And try the red oniony sauce that comes with appetizer wafer breads- it's very interesting.

You can find good Indian food anywhere, but you can't find great Indian food everywhere. Well friends, Key Biscayne is home to the best Indian cuisine in Miami. My family and I are regulars and don't even need to look at the menu because everything taste delicious. My personal favorites are the lettuce and chicken wrap, which is a bit messy so don't wear white or do and own those chicken stains. The cheese and plain Nan are melt in your mouth good. There is other stuff that is really good to but I forgot what it is called so just pretend you are on a magical flying carpet and eat anything they suggest because you will not be disappointed.

Along with Costa Med, one of the 2 best "go to" restaurants on KB. Attentive service, good prices and excellent ingredients/preparation. Breads, vegetarian plates and curries are terrific

Comes under the "superb" and "sublime" category for Indian food. Comparable to what you will find in the finest NYC and Islen NJ Indian restaurants. They made us feel welcome, and were very attentive, which you don't always encounter in Miami restaurants. They suggested my daughter oder off the menu, and she ordered their butter chicken. I thought their Chicken Tika Masla was wonderful. Their Nans were average, including the aloo paratha nan (potato stuffed).

  • Gabriel D.

I really enjoy coming to eat at this little giant. Located in the heart of KB in a strip mall this small joint is responsible for providing a delicious Indian Cuisine experience accompany by impeccable customer service delivery. It's owner is hands on and so is each member of his team. TIP: Ayesha is able to provide catering...! I have never had trouble getting a seat, but because it is a small place, I would encourage to call in for a reservation ahead of your visit. Overall ambiance is pleasant and videos of Indian music fun to watch...part of the experience. Enjoy your next visit or your first...it will not be the last! You'll become a regular as I have!

I have been to almost every Indian restaurant in Miami and one that was said to be the best in Broward and Ayesha is leagues above. I visited for the first time on my birthday on a Tuesday night. My husband I began dinner with an appetizer of Chicken Samosas and they were delicious! Samosas at most restaurants are usually these big balls of breading with lots of grease, but Ayesha's were small triangles that were so good and just enough for two. Before that, the standard tomato and onion chutney was served with Papadum. It was the best chutney of its kind that I've had, a little bit spicier than usual, but I love spice. For main dishes, my husband ordered the Saag Paneer (spinach with cheese), which was flavorful, and I ordered the Chicken Korma (chunks of chicken in a tomato/yogurt sauce infused with spices, cashews and raisins). The Korma was fantastic. I ordered it spicy, not Indian spicy, but had to send it back because it wasn't spicy enough for me (my fault, not theirs). We also ordered the Eggplant Bharta, a dish that I have not been able to find in Miami. The dish was exceptional, a savory combination of grilled eggplant, and spices that make a thick stew-like offering. It was perfect for dipping our Garlic Naan -- also delightful. My only nit pick about Ayesha was their selection of wine by the glass. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc that tasted stale. I wish they had a better selection. Another nice plus, when we asked to pack up our leftovers, the server added a portion of rice since we'd eaten all of ours. A pleasant and unexpected surprise! Overall the service was great, the food SUPERB, and the bill very reasonable. We are definitely going back. Our go-to place before had been Imlee in Pinecrest, but the food quality has gone down some recently and the service has always been lackluster. We also really liked Darbar Bombay in Coconut Grove, but I have to say Ayesha is now the winner. I highly recommend!

"lovely food and ambiance" This is a small restaurant with a few outdoor tables in a strip mall, but it is simple elegance. There are white tablecloths, unusual wall textures, booths, small cozy tables, etc. The food is delicious. We had the chicken and lettuce leaf wrap appetizer wiith tamarind sauce. Papadam and tomato chutney come with every dinner. Then we had tandoori chicken accomapnied with rice and mint sauce, and baked eggplant with tomato sauce and spices. Even house wine was good. My suggestion to the restaurant is that they serve 1/2 orders of their vegetable dishes, instead of serving and pricing them as full entrees. They should offer a combination vegetable platter or combination dinners with meat and vegetables. All sauces are $2.50 additional except the ones that come with certain dishes. It would also be nice to have raita, mint sauce, and tamarind sauce served along with the papadam, at no extra cost to the customer. Service was great and we thoroughly enjoyed dining here.

After days of craving Indian food I finally gave in and met up with a fellow yelper to try Ayesha. Although it didn't replace Bombay as my knockout naan destination, Theo H is right their basmati rice is delicious. I could eat a bowl of this rice with just some sauce and be sated. We began with naan, shared chicken tikka masala and lamb rogan josh, both were good. But I had a mean need for masala. I must say the meal was extremely filling and we could have take left overs home. The size, location, and atmosphere of this restaurant make it a must for anyone looking to have a quiet, simple, delicious meal. Must say the service is rather slow and they'd probably benefit from an extra person.

Went here for Father's day. The food was great! One of the best Indian restaurant I have ate at. We did have to wait for a bit for the food. It was a bit expensive but I think overall the food did make up for it.

Great Indian food in the American style. Service was well paced and friendly. The owner was there and made a few suggestions which were all very good. We started with samosas and garlic naan. We tried lamb, chicken and veggie samosas. My favorite were the vegetable ones, but they were all very good. While we were waiting for our fifth guest we tried the cheese naan, also very good although I preferred the garlic. For dinner we shared chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, lamb rogan josh, begun bharta, saag paneer, chana masala, and another veggie dish. The standouts were the begun bharta and the chicken vindaloo. Dessert was a mango ice cream, gulab jamun, and rasmalai. All were very good. Prices were moderate to high moderate. This place is definitely worth the trip and they are supposedly opening a location down south in the pinecrest area. Highlights: Vegetable Samosa, Garlic Naas, Begun Bharta, Chicken Vindaloo, Gulab Jamun, friendly service.

The best Indian restaurant in MIami. This place is really good. The food is tasty and high quality. The location and ambience is nice. There is outside seating which is fantastic in the Miami winter. The papadums with onion relish is a nice start. The lettuce wraps with tandoori chicken are a fantastic appetizer and not found elsewhere. The cury dishes are varied but superb. The Chicken Tikka Masala is definitely one of the best. The lamb Rogan Josh is great. I also love many of their vegetarian dishes like the mashed eggplant curry.

What a find! I was at Crandon Park and wanted some lunch, so I checked the local restaurants on my maps app and decided on this place. I'm so glad I did! The food is incredible and the service is outstanding. This along with Bombay Darbar are my two favorite Indian restaurants in Miami. They are light years ahead of Mint Leaf. I will definitely be back!

Great food and service. A bit pricey, but that's probably because of the exclusive location.

Ayesha's has to be the best Indian Restaurant in Miami, hands down. The food is really authentic and extremely delicious; service is fast and friendly. The restaurant is Key Biscayne, which made our dinning experience seem like my husband and I were on vacation. We can't wait to go back!

Authentic, spicy, friendly. Highly recommend the joint. Ventilation needs some work. You will smell like a smoky Tandoor oven later but dude it is worth it. :-) Best Indian restaurant in Miami-Dade. Now if only I could find one Afghan restaurant. :-)

NOTE: Ayesha's Restaurant is NOT related to Ayesha's Kitchen cooking classes. Apologies to the Ayeshas - but what are the odds two women named Ayesha would open an Indian food business in the same Indian food desert?

This is, by far, the best Indian restaurant I have been to. My boyfriend is Indian and incredibly picky and judgemental about restaurant Indian food. The usual response is- meh-my mom could do better. Not here (no offense mom). We ordered the food very spicy, and we were not disappointed. We normally order a few extra dishes to bring home an abundance of extras because we like it that much.

We live nearby and usually get takeout. Wonder how this great spot came to be located in a community that does not have a big indian population. I guess the diverse nationalities found here have more cosmopolitan tastes. Our few sampling so far have been great. It's nice to have an alternative to pizza or Chinese for a quick takeout dinner. The place is so small, I wonder how they can get enough covers each night to pay the rent.

The food was delicious and the prices were moderate. The server was incredibly nice and accommodating, but very slow - maybe because we ate outside so he didn't see things like empty water glasses. I will probably go back because the food was really good, and most Indian food in Miami is overpriced anyway so you can't avoid that. But I'll make sure to knowing it will take a while to get my food, etc. My husband enjoyed their rasmalai (dessert) which isn't available everywhere - another reason to go back.

One of the better Indian restaurants in Miami, but it might be a little hard to find considering the sign is blocked by a tree. It's in a shopping center incase anyone goes on a hunt for this place. Saffron lettuce wrap? A lettuce wrap at an Indian restaurant? I was puzzled but absolutely enjoyed this appetizer. It had great flavors with a modern twist. I think someone that isn't accustomed to this type of food would even enjoy it. For my entree I had the Navrattan Sahi Korma which is a vegetable korma. It was on the sweeter side, which I liked. I would recommend this dish since this is one of the few places that makes it well. And if you like Rasmalai, this is the go to place for it. The cheese portion is the perfect texture.

Service was great, food was good. I had the vegetable lunch special which included salad, chick pea curry (great), vegetable korma (great flavor but seemed like frozen veggies), lentils with spinach (very good), rice, naan, and desert. Everything was good and I will definitely return.

The food was outstanding! Delicious! Though we waited for 20 minutes before we could order the food and drinks, the guy apologised and offered us free appetizer, delicious bread and dessert. Very good choice of wine.

I eat here about once a week. Their aloo nan is my favorite and their basmati rice is delicious. Lamb korma curry is my favorite dish. The mango lassi is a great drink/desert. They have good lunch specials, but I haven't had a chance to make it to the key during the week for quite some time.

As an Indian i always love exploring Indian restaurants during my trips to other cities. We searched for a good Indian restaurant in Miami and found this one. The food is ok, we ordered chicken roganjosh and they gave us grilled chicken breast cut into pieces into a gravy. While I give a good rating to the gravy but thats definitely not a way to prepare Indian chicken dish where the chicken is not cooked in the gravy(masala). Rice served was good. Naan was good. Pricey for the quantity and quality of food. Its more americanized and I may ask my american friends to try this place but for my indian friends its a no no. Among vegeterian items we tried dal makhani, paneer tika masala which were not bad. I will not visit this restaurant again. I give it a 2.5 out of 5.

We have eaten here three times so far and will be making it there a lot more. Everything we have had is great, even the Indian wine. You just need to be careful with the heat issue. I have asked for mild a couple of times and if what I got was mild, I don't want to experience hot. The unfortunate situation with this restaurant is its location on the Key Biscayne restaurant desert. Good restaurants just do not last here. The majority of the island population is looking for either pizza, mediocre Italian food, mediocre Cuban food or pizza. Two of the times we were in the restaurant we were one of the few if only people there. I hope they make it.

I made the journey over the Rickenbacker causeway continuing my never-ending quest for flavor driven food. Having read what some of my fellow Yelpers had to say about Ayesha, I was curious to see if it lived up to all the chatter. We started off with some butter and garlic naan. Both were very, very good. The naan was light and airy on the inside, while picking up a nice crusty outer layer from the tandoori oven. The naan here is a great way to kick things off. They also started us off with some sort of baked, buttery, crispy chip thing with a spicy onion dip. I'm not sure what it was, but we cleared three rounds of it, so I can say with great confidence that we enjoyed whatever it was. As my main I ordered the chicken tikka masala (spicy). I thought the chicken was cooked perfectly and overall the flavor was excellent. There may or may not have been a bit too much curry in mine, but I suppose that ends up being a personal opinion depending on ones relationship with curry. Also on the table was the chicken tandoori, which was awesome in taste and aroma. I will probably order a tandoori dish on my next visit. The main courses are served with rice, and I think the average price for an entree was about 15$. The service was slow, mainly because the owner is also the waiter and the host and the chef and the engineer and the lighting and sound guy. All in all, Ayesha offers up some very good Indian food. The Yelpers are on point for the most part. Not sure it's a 5 star place, I would say more of a 3.5 or 4, but definitely worth the trip out to the Key of Biscayne. PS. This is my first review as an Elite squad member, and boy oh boy does it feel good!

Good Indian food in Miami is really hard to find, but Ayesha does not disappoint. The food is really good- veg samosas and begun barta (?)- eggplant dish- along with the desserts, were the best! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is bc they were very slow with refilling water, which is key at an indian place where lots of things are spicy! also, it is very small and was hard to find; the sign was covered by a tree. lastly, the owner is what gives the place its charm. he suggests dishes for you that you would might not have ordered before. he is warm and friendly, and really gives that place its charisma. We had a great time!

  • Esther G.

Totally mediocre. :( I ordered samosas that were decent, and they came with some nice tamarind (?) dipping sauce. The papadums were good too. But the navratan korma I ordered was pretty bland. I wanted a creamy flavor explosion like most Indian food. It just wasn't there. Sad day. Service is good. The decor is nice. A bit pricey. The meat dishes might be better. Miami just can't do veggie. Even at Indian restaurants.

We have finally found a good Indian restaurant in Miami! We enjoyed the paneer tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, and naan, all of which were very tasty and well-prepared. Service was also very good. We'll definitely be making this our go-to Indian spot.

Been here twice now, really should come more often, this place is really great, miss the buffet from when they were in Brickell but the food and service here has always been excellent... I always get the Chicken Tikka Masala, amazing, probably the best I have had in South Florida, and up there with some of the best I have had period...

You can go to Ayesha to hear about the owners humble beginning as a peanut seller in India or to absorb the beauty of Key Biscayne. But the real reason to go there is the amazing, mouth watering, finger licking good, Indian food! To summarize what I thought of the food: it was PERFECT! can't think of a single thing that I would change about the taste of the chicken tikka masala and the palak paneer I tasted. The owner, of Taste of Bombay fame has really put himself behind this restaurant, focusing on service, ambiance, etc. Overall, I love it, highly recommended.

This place was the bomb.com ! It was recommended from a friend that lives on the Key. And when I saw foreign exchange students from India shaking the owners hand and thanking him for a great meal - I knew it was going to be great. The owner and waiters were so friendly and kind and the food tasted delicious! This will now be one of my go-to stops on the Key along with Sir Pizza.

We are so lucky to have this restaurant locally because it's fantastic Indian food by international standards. I've gone there with Indian friends who rave about it, and I just love the food, atmosphere, and the charming owner who always checks in on all the tables. Fantastic.

Wow ive eaten in most indian restaurants in miami this is quite the best ive had hands down. Nice decor and of course i went to the key biscayne location, this place and the smells in the kitchen would make anyone cry hunger! The samosas were perfect! Try the lamb ones the seasoning is right on. The waiter suggested a great lamb dish boy do i owe him. The best lamb , moist juicy and so much flavor. Good spices and great service and good atmosphere. Kudos to the staff for their extra care and attentions. Cant wait to go back . Hummmm

Great food, warm service, cozy and elegant decor. It's a great feeling to dine in a restaurant where the staff and proprietor enjoy serving you. Papadums with pickled onions whet your appetite as you look through the menu. We knew we were in for a treat when we tasted the full-throttle onions. The menu, while focused, still provided a nice range of options. Favorites like Tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, rogan josh and korma all appear on the menu as well as some I have not seen such as Apna Curry and lettuce wraps (?!). We started with lettuce wraps which were surprisingly good. The bright red chicken delivered that great pop you expect from good Indian food. We followed with tandoori lamb, chicken tikka and the okra. All were great, different and used great ingredients. No weird cuts of meat, no heavy or stale flavors. A delicious white rice with saffron and cardamon is included with each dish. The host was ever present and talked us through any questions we had. Overall, it has been the Indian meal I have enjoyed most in Miami, and is especially the best Indian meal I have been served without Indians in my party. The menu states that they are part of the Saffron Group, which includes two restaurants north of Miami-Dade and the former Taste of Bombay. Beyond the great food, the service was very good and eager to make us feel at home.

Wonderful food and service! The location is in a glamorized strip mall, and was initially hard to find (probably my problem because I am from CA and was just visiting). Once there though, the place is very classy with a tasteful and warm ambience (minus the bar-like flat panel tv blaring indian music videos). The food was phenomenal! Loved the flavors, and loved the service. Should I ever visit Miami again, I'll make sure to go again.

We have been on the search for good Indian spot in town for almost two years. We finally made it out to try this little place. I had seen pretty good reviews for it and I must say it did not disappoint. Hands down my favorite Indian food in Miami. Its a cute little space on Key Biscayne. Absolutely everything is delish. Particular favorites: the Chicken Korma, the Butter Chicken, the Lamb Rogan Josh and don't forget the garlic na'an and vegetable samosas. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The portions are good size. The staff is friendly and attentive and the chef is there from time to time creating new little complimentary bites. As for pricing, its actually very reasonable in the realm of Indian cuisine.

Very delicious had chana masala, chicken ticka, garlic nan, aloo nan (carb junkie- I admit it) and some chai tea. Very clean flavors and more on the gourmet Indian food end, but not too pricy. Service was good too. Loved sitting outside and enjoying the tranquility I always find in Key Biscyane. I will be back for sure.

I love Indian food and Ayesha delivers great Indian. It's situated in a small mall in Key Biscayne with plenty of parking. The service was very good, however, I don't like when the waiters or owners think they should order for you because you are not Indian and because of this I deduct a star. The menu had my usual favorites like tandoori, tikka, raita, and samosas. Everything we had was delicious and the portions were generous. I liked that you could also choose any meat with your favorite curry and desired heat. The rice was heavenly since it wasn't the standard white rice but was infused with a hint of saffron.

Very disappointing. The food was acceptable but I had it much better on several ocassions before. Last night I had to return a glass of Cabernet because it was spoiled. They offered me "an indian" version which was excellent but when I ordered a second glass, they brought me the original one. I had to order the bottle to get the good wine. At the end they tried to charge for an extra glass. I guess they just lost a frequent customer and my recommendations.

WOW! I am so excited that Ayesha came to the island!! Key Biscayne is an amazing place to live but it definitely is laking in culinary diversity. Ayesha just opened about 3 weeks ago, and after hearing rave reviews, I decided to try it tonight with my friend. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, so we decided to sit outdoors. The menu is the perfect size. Many times when I eat Indian food in Coral Gables, I am really overwhelmed by the menu . This menu has everything from Samosas to Biryani to Naan to Tandoor, but it is manageable for the novice Indian food eater. My friend and I started with the Vegetable Samosas. These were fantastic. Then we split the Navrattan Sahi korma, Shrimp with Apna Curry Sauce, and Onion Naan. We were worried that we ordered too much, but this turned out to be the perfect amount of food. The korma was fantastic-- lots of veggies like broccoli, peas, carrots, etc in a delicious sauce. The shrimp were also amazing. The dish came with 8 jumbo shrimp which was perfect for my friend and I. The sauce was spicy- but not too spicy. The onion naan was out of this world. Dipping it in the 2 different sauces was the best. The dishes also came with rice (a lot of Indian restaurants make you order rice, so this was a nice change). The service was perfect. Our waiter was able to give us knowledgeable advice on what to order. A nice touch was when the manager came out to ask us how we were doing. He told us that the next time he would let us try Indian wine (we were already drinking wine). I did not even know that existed! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Ayesha. The prices were good for Key Biscayne (for our meal + 2 glasses of wine, the bill came out to $58). The service was good, and the food was great! I am so happy that Ayesha came to the neighborhood. I definitely will be back. (They said they were going to be starting delivery as well!)

I am by no means an expert on Indian food, but I'll still give my opinion. I wasn't in the best mood once I got there because I was looking for a cheap dinner with friends after going to a bar and I went there with my friend telling me most meals are $12. Not true. The price isn't too crazy. Most entrees with any meat are close to $20. I liked the atmosphere even though it feels a little cramped inside. The service was a little slow considering how few people were in the restaurant that night. The food was great, but the portions were a little small for my liking. I really wanted leftovers for lunch the next day, but no such luck. Overall a good experience, even though I didn't want to spend as much money as I did.

Headed to KB on a weeknight in search of good Indian food down here after hearing about this place. The service was outstanding - we really felt like they were delighted to have us and wanted us to know it. We had a question about a menu item, and chef came out to explain he'd be happy to make any substitutions or changes to accomodate our tastes (we didn't have too many). The place is small, quaint. Food was delicious, though the lettuce wraps were really not for us. Baigan bharta, saag paneer, paneer korma, chicken tikka masala - all super solid. We'd definitely go back/ recommend to others.

THE best curry we have had in Miami and having lived in Birmingham in the UK for 10 years it's been hard to find a good curry. It started with poppodoms and a fantastic red pepper chutney, we ordered raita as well to compliment. Next we had vegetable samosas which were handmade and again THE best I've ever had and I've had them made by Indian friends, the tandoori chicken was tender and juicy. Entrees were Apna chicken and shrimp madras both served with delicious basmati rice. All food was requested spicy and for once this request was fulfilled. Staff were very nice too. It's a bit out of the way but we will be definately returning and driving to get our take outs...

solidly good indian food! the owner was kind enough to offer us something off the menu, curried mahi mahi. i was pleased with the basmati rice, fragrant with cilantro, and the chicken korma was chock full of subtle, yet multifaceted flavors. i do believe this is one of the better eateries on the island! the naan, however, needed a few minutes more in the oven. i wish they had had poori to sop up their wonderfully rich curry sauce. may ayesha remain alive and well!

  • Kapil A.

Yeah - this place is definitely worth visiting. It's in a fun area, and the food is good. The reason why I'm rating it less than four stars is because I ordered some Raita, and it wasn't fresh (tasted slightly sour) and we had to send it back. But the lamb samosas and the chicken ragan josh were awesome. Asked them to make it spicy, and that definitely made it amazing. :)

Ayesha fulfills my requirements for a nice family restaurant experience. It is just the right size, small and personal. The owner, who is also a world-class chef, takes personal care of you. He will recommend dishes in combination, so that you can have a flavorful but balanced meal. I went with my wife and teenage boys and we had a feast for the senses! For appetizers we had vegetable samosas which were very tasty. My boys don't like veggies, but they sure enjoyed these samosas! We also had lamb chops with fresh cilantro and a mint chutney sauce which was well balanced to complement the tangy spices of the chops. For drinks we had mango and sweet/sour lassis, which are yogurt-based beverages with crumbled pistachio topping. These drinks are specially formulated offset the strong spices prevalent in Indian cuisine. the Naan bread with butter, as well as an order with melted cheese were just sinful! For entrees, we shared three plates amongst the four of us, as the portions are generous. We had Chicken Apna Curry, Shrimp Madras, and Seekh Kebab. We were very satisfied with the three entrees. My favorite was the shrimp dish, because I have a preference for seafood. For dessert my boys shared a Rasmalai, which they liked. My wife and I did not order dessert, but the waiter brought us a complimentary order of Gulab Jamun, which was very tasty. Good, personal service, authentic and very tasty Indian food, and an elegant and very clean establishment make Ayesha my favorite Indian restaurant! I can't wait to return!
